	Joining the grow-your-own revolution Growing up we were lucky to have a vegetable rack in our kitchen brimming (most of the year round) with my Dad's home grown fruit and vegetables. Weekends were spent helping to dig, weed, water and my favourite, pick them for him. I remember the immense sense of achievement that came from eating something (usually within minutes of picking it) that only 10 weeks ago had been a tiny seed in my hand.
	So here it is... Merry Christmas! I hope everybody is having fun! This month has been a great success for the events we have held at Gibson Hall; we have seen a Las Vegas casino night take over the Main Hall, a 1920’s circus evening complete with acrobats and dancers, and of course many beautiful evenings celebrating a Victorian Christmas Eve. Our teams have worked tirelessly to make sure every event was perfect and needless to say everyone is now welcoming our Christmas break which begins from tomorrow.
	Christmas party season Themed decor for the Christmas party season and a view of The Main Hall in all it's festive spirit. Gibson Hall has had a whole host of Christmas events happening over the festive season and plans are in place for a really special theme for next year - The Apres Ski Ball - guests will enjoy an alpine ski lodge reception followed by the splendour of the main hall for their ball.
	Tickle your taste buds glamorously this December <p> What better way is there to start your Christmas than with an event which will blow your mind? Perhaps a Hollywood glamour themed event? How about both a great theme and wonderful food to give your guests something quite extravagant?</p>

This hall is perfect for anyone looking for a reception venue in the City near Liverpool Street or Bank. 	Welcome to the Gibson Hall blog! Let me introduce myself. My name is Katy; I am the Event Sales Executive and I work alongside my colleagues Rebecca (Business Development Executive) and Merily (Events Manager). Together we are the Gibson Hall team but separately we are three people who love events and enjoy working for a venue with such potential for amazing corporate and private events.
	Weddings, weddings, weddings - anyone fancy an outside ceremony? <p> It's that time of year.....the summer is here, the sun is taunting us with occasional appearances and everyone is getting married! If, like me your weekends are filled with back to back engagement parties, hen dos and weddings your bank balance might be feeling a little low.</p>
	London Summer Time! Summer parties ... living in London it's not something we get to enjoy very often, now summer is in full swing Gibson Hall says grab the sun hats and sunglasses it's Pimms o'clock
	Are you a food Junkie? Deep down we have a little food junkie in us but just of late London has stepped outside the box and started making food that satisfies our need for junk. There is more interesting food with a great choice of comfort food and even something healthy options for those watching the waist line.
	What value does social media give to our business? During August ice bucket challenge fever took over Kudos with our General Managers and staff taking the icy plunge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We have had great fun and lots of laughs whilst raising money for a hugely worthwhile cause.
