I first met Gurbani Kaur in 2015 at an event hosted by Asian Bride. I was instantly drawn to her because of her infectious smile and warm personality, I found her inspiring, she had so many business ideas for someone so young and possessed true ambition.
When I first joined Gibson Hall I decided to contact Gurbani to find out if I could collaborate with her on some of her projects and this is when I first learnt about IPL.
The idea was to bring two countries, Pakistan and India who have had a turbulent past together untied by art, fashion and a shared culture. A symbolic concept that boasts luxury and celebrates the pure form of couture
The India Pakistan London Fashion Show 2017 was an occasion celebrating a special part of an epic industry and took place at Gibson Hall on March 4th, 2017. Creations influenced by heritage and design from India, Pakistan and London were all under one grand roof showcasing global trends and foreseeing what the following decade holds for style, fabric and current collections
This was the perfect opportunity for Gibson Hall to showcase what we can offer the Asian market and coincided beautifully with the launch of our new addition to our catering range, Mazaa catering.
It was amazing to see iconic fashion designers such as Rimple and Harpreet, Komal Nasir, My Trousseau and Naushad Imdad exhibit their creations in our beautiful and historical London Venue.
The after party which took place in a marquee in our garden and was hosted by MTV proved once again that Gibson Hall really is one of London’s best party venues.
The event drew attention from the world stage and Gibson Hall together with IPL was featured on BBC London News which made us all very proud.
