Our diary is filling up with wedding enquires for 2018 and with summer holidays around the corner and romance in the air, I am sure there will be many more enquires to come.
So what will the trends for weddings in 2018 be, I wonder? According to my research, the trend is red carpet Hollywood glamour mixed with the traditional whites and bridal lace.
You can either go old Hollywood Grace Kelly in a classic long ball gown accessorised with glamorous long gloves, or new Hollywood glamour JLO in a side-splitting, figure-hugging long dress and plunging neckline.
If you are planning on tying the knot, then be prepared to razzle dazzle your guests – but not just on the day. The razzmatazz experience must begin as soon as your guests open up that envelope and see their sparkling invitation. Think modern meets glamour, think rustic with a sprinkling of diamonds.
The retro bride is in season and I personally love a 1920s themed wedding which was recently made popular again with the remake of The Great Gatsby Movie. You just cannot go wrong with Art Deco. It is elegant, stylish and full of the spirit of tinsel town.
The Main Hall at Gibson Hall could have been built especially for a 2018 style wedding. You’ve just got to experience the exquisite gold ceilings with theatrical domes, the breathtaking chandeliers, the gold emblems surrounding the walls and the gorgeous golden yellow curtains which remind me of the fairytale Beauty and the Beast. Gibson Hall has it all and is one of the most perfect wedding venues in London.
It looks like it is going to be a fun year to be attending a wedding as the 2018 trends will also involve a bit of bling on the wedding cake, with brushed gold and silver edges plus gushing, descending bouquets.
When it comes to wedding halls there is so much choice, so we suggest giving us a call and booking an appointment to come and see our perfect wedding venue in London. You can call us on 020 7334 3916.
