I don’t know about you but there is always one thing that I will talk about when recounting my time at an event…the food! Whether it’s good or bad, guests will always have something to say about the catering that was provided.
As food is such a vital part of any event, we offer menu tastings in our banqueting hall in London to all of our clients planning a three course lunch or dinner and to the loved up couples planning their special wedding day.
We ask clients to select from either our Autumn/Winter menu or Spring/Summer menu which ensures that we are using the most seasonal produce for the time of year. From the delicious menus you get to taste three starters (we ask that a vegetarian option is included), three mains (again, with a veggie option!) and two desserts. To accompany the food we will also serve the wines that have been included in your contract so that you can be sure that they pair perfectly with your chosen dishes.
I have the pleasure of hosting the menu tastings at Gibson Hall venue, London and always ask that clients be as honest as possible about the taste and presentation of all the dishes as this really is the only way to get the very best from your tasting session. We love to hear your constructive thoughts on the food, whether they are positive or not. Our talented team of chefs are always working to develop and evolve the dishes on our menus and a really important part of making that happen is hearing what our clients truly think.
The Event Hire Company, who takes care of all of our event styling, has recently shared some of their fantastic new plates, cutlery and glassware with us so that we can present some of the dishes on an upgrade option. This gives you the chance to serve up dishes that not only taste amazing but look innovative and exciting providing a real talking point at the table!
Our menu tastings take around two hours so it is also a wonderful opportunity to discuss your event details and ask any questions that you may have. Clients often apologise for coming along with a list of queries but for us, this is ideal as we can then really make the most of the time between dishes to start putting plans in place for your perfect event.
So, remember…tastings are a place for discussion and planning and I promise we won’t ever be offended by your feedback! We are here to make sure that you and your guests have a culinary experience that will only generate a positive lasting impression!
